Ali Fuat Bilkan

Professor Bilkan is the rector of Ipek University, Ankara. He completed his PhD in Classical Turkish Literature at the Graduate School of Social Sciences, Gazi University, and postdoctoral research on 'Turkish Literature in India' at Jawaharlal University, New Delhi. He worked as an academic and an administrator respectively at Middle Eastern Technical University (METU) , Gazi University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Fatih University, Wisconsin and TOBB University of Economics and Technology (ETU). Professor Bilkan's work focuses on tertiary education, classical literature, cultural diplomacy, and Iranian and Indian history, literature and culture. He is married with three children. He is fluent in English and Persian.
